Giving

Most educational philanthropy funds what already exists. Better buildings, more scholarships, incremental improvements to systems whose fundamental design has not changed in sixty years.

The Foundation is not interested in that work.

We build tools grounded in cognitive science, not user retention. No badges, no streaks, no dopamine loops dressed up as learning. Learning is effortful. Struggle is the mechanism. Precise diagnosis of what each student actually knows. Instruction personalized to the individual. These are not features. They are the foundation.

We work in the schools where the failure is most acute and the need for something different is most real. We make our platforms available to the students who need them most, regardless of their ability to pay.

The market will not build these tools. The system will not reform itself. If that is the work you want to support, this is where it is happening.
